QCI and NSIC Join Hands to Strengthen MSME Quality Standards and Expand Global Market Access

The Quality Council of India and the National Small Industries Corporation Limited have signed a strategic agreement in New Delhi to strengthen quality standards, certification, accreditation, digital market access, and competitiveness for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises through integrated national initiatives and expanded capacity-building opportunities across India.

The agreement brings together QCI's expertise in quality, accreditation, and certification with NSIC's extensive MSME support ecosystem to create a stronger framework for enterprise development. The collaboration is designed to improve the quality, competitiveness, and market reach of Indian MSMEs, enabling them to compete more effectively in both domestic and international markets.

As part of the partnership, the two organisations will integrate several key national initiatives, including the MSME Sustainable Certification Scheme, MSME Global Mart, the TEAM Initiative, and the Single Point Registration Scheme. The collaboration will facilitate wider adoption of the Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) Certification, improve digital market access for MSMEs, strengthen testing and accreditation infrastructure, and expand capacity-building opportunities for enterprises as well as training institutions.

Chairman-cum-Managing Director of NSIC, Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Acharya, and Senior Director and Head of the National Division for Industry Excellence at QCI, Dr. A. Raj, were present during the signing of the agreement.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Acharya said the collaboration would help build a stronger ecosystem that empowers enterprises to compete confidently in both domestic and global markets. He emphasised that the partnership would support the long-term growth and competitiveness of India's MSME sector.
